Grace, Not Guilt. One Step at a Time.

Create a Home that Heals You Instead of Draining You

You don’t have to figure this out alone. Join a community of women who are learning to live more naturally, at a pace that actually fits their real lives.

Know this Feeling?

  • You want to create a healthier home for your family, but every time you start researching, you end up with 47 browser tabs open and more questions than you started with.
  • You see other women online making everything from scratch, growing their own food, and posting beautifully curated natural living routines. Meanwhile, you’re just trying to get dinner on the table.
  • You’ve tried things here and there. A recipe from a blog, a remedy from a Facebook group, a product someone recommended. Some of it worked, most of it didn’t, and now you’re not sure what to trust.
  • You’re good at your job. You manage a full life every day. So why does natural living feel like the one thing you can’t figure out?
  • You don’t want to be sold another program or another product. You just want someone to walk alongside you and tell you what actually matters, and what you can let go of.

Here’s the truth: you’re not behind. You’re not failing. You’re just trying to do it alone, but you don’t have to.

I Built This Because I Needed It Too

When I started my natural living journey over 25 years ago, there was no community to turn to. No group of women who understood why I cared about what was in our food, our cleaning products, and our medicine cabinet. I figured it out the slow way: reading everything I could find, experimenting, making mistakes, and learning as I went.

Along the way, I got serious about the science behind it. I studied evidence-based herbalism and aromatherapy. I earned my Master Herbalist and Animal Aromatherapist certifications. I brought my background in Animal Science and Education into everything I learned. I’ve been living on a ranch in East Texas since 1994, raising cattle, horses, goats, chickens, and more. This isn’t something I teach from a textbook. It’s how I live.

But here’s what I wish someone had told me at the start: the skills don’t matter if you don’t have peace first. If trying to live more naturally is creating more stress in your life, something is off. You don’t need a longer to-do list. You need space to breathe, a few clear next steps, and women around you who get it.

That’s why I created the Old Ways Made New Community. Not as a classroom. Not as a content library. As a place where you can exhale, ask your real questions, and take your next right step with someone who’s already walked this road.

I do the research so you don’t have to.

“I enjoy the meetings and learning from Deborah and others in the group. I like knowing there are others with similar interests that you can correspond with and know you can trust their advice. By being in the community I can pick up on other ideas or something I might like to try that I hadn’t thought of.”
Tanya Welch, Missouri

You wake up and your morning has a rhythm that feels natural, not forced. When your child gets a cold, you know what to reach for. When you hear about the latest “must-have” supplement online, you don’t panic because you have someone you trust to ask. Your home feels like a sanctuary, not a project.

Natural living doesn’t feel like a burden anymore. It feels like something you chose, and you’re actually enjoying the journey.

How We Get There Together

Before you learn the skills, you need the space to breathe. That’s why we start with restoring peace. The rest follows when you’re ready.

Simple rhythms and boundaries for peace. Getting your schedule, your mental well-being, and your capacity in order. Because without peace, everything else feels like just another thing on your to-do list.

The basics of healthy food and natural solutions. Understanding your “why” and what a healthy home looks like for your family, not someone else’s Instagram version.

Traditional skills and heritage practices for those who have the foundation in place and want to go deeper. This is the enrichment layer, not a requirement.

“But how will I find the time?”

I hear you. Here’s what I’ve learned after 25 years of juggling work, family, a ranch, and living these values:

It’s not that we don’t have enough time. It’s about releasing what we think we’re SUPPOSED to be doing.

Here’s what to do instead:

βœ“ Stop the comparison game – Focus on what would benefit YOUR family most. Every household has different needs.

βœ“ End the exhausting Google spiral – No more trying a little of this and that, only to feel frustrated and confused.

βœ“ Honor your season of life – You don’t have to do all the things. We get to pick and choose what serves us now.

You don’t have to do everything. You get to choose your path.

Most of us have many irons in the fire, which makes it hard to find the time, resources,

and support to stay true to the values we hold dear.

We may believe we have to hustle to fit it all in.

But with a little grace and a sisterhood of women who also have full plates,

we can reclaim our role as the everyday wise women of our homes.

We can create homes that heal instead of overwhelming us.

FAQ

What if I feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to start?

That is exactly why this community exists. We start with simple steps and move at a pace that feels right for you. You will never be left to figure it out alone. Together we will create a plan that fits your life, and you will have encouragement and support every step of the way.

Do I need to know any particular skills?

Not at all! That’s what we’re here for. Together we’ll decide on your next step and help you learn what you need to know. Some of you may want to dive into aromatherapy and safe remedies. Others may want to grow a little of your own food, replace toxins in the home, or find ways to nourish your mental well-being. No matter where you are on the pathway to becoming the everyday wise woman of your home, you’ll find the support, skills, and encouragement you need here.

How much time will this take?

You can go at your own pace. Some women spend just a few minutes a week learning or trying something new, while others enjoy diving in more deeply. There is no one right way to do this. What matters is that you’re moving toward a life that feels more intentional and less overwhelming, in a way that works for you.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Membership is month-to-month or quarterly, and you can cancel at any time. No pressure and no long-term contracts.
