I have always used a literature based approach to teaching history using what many refer to as “living books”. These books are written in narrative style usually by someone who is passionate about the subject. They seem to bring to life the story line as they draw in the emotions enabling the reader to be able to remember what was read. You can use Dr. Beechick’s guides to give you examples of how to pull together your own history study simply through reading great books.
Truthquest History Guides
If you would like to purchase a history guide outlined for you, I recommend Truthquest History Guides. They are also an excellent tool to help you pull together your history outline as well.
Below you will find a description of each guide. Basically, each guide takes you through history, or His story, with sequential commentary, specific literature recommendations, and Thinkwrite assignments. You can go to their website and read more by clicking the banner below. Then, you can either buy online on their site or come back and purchase from me, whichever is best for you.
